Bingley Bees Hockey Club is England Hockey ClubsFirst Accredited. This is part of Sport England’s Clubmark Programme. Clubs achieving accreditation are recognised nationally as operating and promoting a ‘safe, effective and child friendly’ club environment.
The England Hockey Accreditation Scheme has four focus areas
- Developing Young People in Hockey
- Safeguarding & Protecting Young People
- Sports Equity and Ethics
- Club Management
The Club will continue working towards maintaining ClubsFirst Accreditation and, indeed, even higher standards to ensure it remains a first choice club for young hockey players in and around Bingley and Shipley.
Accreditation requires drafting, introducing, monitoring and updating new procedures and paperwork, having volunteers attend courses and those directly involved with younger players, CRB Checked. All Teams employ the same disciplines and procedures.
