GET FIT, GET RUNNING, SUPPORT A LOCAL EVENT
Sunday 4th July 2010 is the date set for The Leeds 10k: Jane Tomlinson's Run For All.
2009 was a great event and over 11,000 runners took to the streets of Leeds. This included Cath G and Sarah R. For the 2010 race Cath G would love to see as many Bingley Bees taking part as possible.
To enter the event you need to pre-register. Full details can be found on http://www.runforall.com/leeds/registration. The reason Cath G is asking you all now to log on and register is because this race fills up very quickly and she missed out in 2008.
The main charity for the event is of course Jane's Appeal established by Jane Tomlinson, CBE to raise funds for children's and cancer charities.
Jane Tomlinson had treatment for breast cancer in 1991, aged 26. The disease returned in August 2000 throughout her body and so began her appeal to raise money for cancer charities, the charity now has a target of £5 million. Let's help raise money by taking part.
